I have been a consultant Gastroenterologist in Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust since 2016. I have considerable experience in treating 16-18-year-old patients for all gastroenterological conditions.
My Gastroenterology training was in Southwest London including spending considerable time in St George’s Hospital and the Liver Unit at King’s College Hospital. I have interests in liver diseases including fatty liver, viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and acid reflux.
I have been awarded an MD by the University of London for my research work in liver diseases (viral hepatitis).
I am JAG accredited GI endoscopist and perform procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. I am an endoscopy trainer. I am the lead clinician for the departmental audits. I am also a mentor in the British Society of Gastroenterology mentorship program. I have set up local Hepatology service including Fibroscan for assessment of liver disease. I am a member of the local research committee and am involved in a number of research studies.
I understand transitioning from Paediatric to Adult care can be daunting for young people and I am here to support their transition to the adult world.
